Distilleries did not buy JKH on Thursday
The Distilleries Company of Sri Lanka PLC which bought two percent of the JKH conglomerate on the Colombo Stock Exchange on Wednesday at a price of Rs. 215 a share was not a buyer of JKH on Thursday as incorrectly reported by us.
A million JKH was bought on Thursday by Asian Alliance Insurance, now a member of the Softlogic Group, while Paints and General Industries, related to a major shareholder of JKH was also a buyer at the Rs. 215 price.
The error is regretted.
